Prestigious Manhattan Hospital, recently needs Registered Nurses to be placed as Director of Cardiothoracic ICU Nursing.

Descriptions of Job:

• Responsible and accountable for managing the delivery of patient care.
• Responsible for the total management of the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit, including setting goals and objectives in accordance with the hospital strategic initiatives, as well as, for planning, organizing, directing, and monitoring unit activities on a twenty-four (24) hour basis.
• Responsible for the unit, facilitating efficient and cost effective daily operations.
• Coordinates and evaluates the effectiveness of staff, unit performance, and system operations.
• Implements unit’s strategic plan relevant to hospital initiatives, while continuing to develop professional and support staff in establishing an environment where staff and patients are able to reach their full potential.
• Responsible to see 5-6 cases per day (post open heart and thoracic surgery patients).

Qualifications of Job:

• Active RN - New York State
• BSN required. Masters Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing leadership experience.
• Strong CTICU clinical experience.
