Job Requirements:
- The candidate has graduation from an accredited school of therapy with current license within the state of practice (RN or LPN, depending on the position)
- The candidate must meet all local health regulations and pass post-employment physical exam, if required including drug screening, criminal background investigation and reference inquiry
- Capability to demonstrate working knowledge of infection control principles and practices
- Understands that State and Federal rules and regulations govern the practices within the facility
Responsibilities:
- Provides care to a group of residents in a nursing unit
- Recognizes normal and abnormal lab values and communicate to physician, and other interdisciplinary team members as appropriate
- Revises work schedules of Certified Nursing Assistants and other Nurses as necessary
- Assess resident needs, develop individual care plans, administers nursing care, evaluate nursing care and supervises CNAs and other personnel in the delivery of care
- Trains and/or assists in the orientation of new employees
- Identifies needs and provides input for discharge planning and follow-up throughout length of stay
- Develops individualized plan of care
- Documentation of all medical records and reporting forms
